All Souls Service – Sunday 6th November, 6pm

Rain on autumn leaves

All are welcome to join us for a special All Souls Service at St Denys Church to remember our loved ones who have died, whether recently or long past. The service is followed by refreshments. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one. If you would like the name of a loved one read out, please contact office@stdenys.org.uk.

Grief and loss can affect all of us at any time. It is a difficult journey but it is not one we have to travel alone. At St Denys there is a regular Cruse bereavement group that meets on Tuesday evenings where you can speak to trained counsellors and spend time with others on the same journey. Our fortnightly Monday Meet also offers a space in which to chat and meet people to find companionship and support. For details of these and other groups, contact us through the website. If you would find it helpful to talk to a priest for any reason, please don’t be afraid to ask.

Musical Toddler Group – Volunteers Needed

Our Youth Worker Sarah runs a Musical Toddler Group on Fridays, 10 – 11am during term time in the parish centre and a Youth Club at the same location on Friday evenings during term time. Volunteers are urgently needed to help at the growing Toddler group, which has been received enthusiastically by the local community and all those who go along. Please e-mail office:@stdenys.org.uk if you can volunteer.

Youth Work at St Denys

Recently, our Parochial Church Council (PCC) made a commitment to put young people at the heart of St Denys life. Please pray for our Youth Worker, Sarah, as she develops young people in their faith both within the church itself and throughout the parish. Please also pray for our Youth Task Force as they work hard to raise critically important funding and sponsorship for the role Sarah plays. Pray that those who are being contacted about this will have their hearts moved by the Lord and will assist us with the necessary funding. Thank you.

Please visit our donation page to donate to our Youth Work funding campaign.
